Kendall Street Company will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, on the outdoor stage at Flat Iron Crossroads, 7709 Flat Iron Road, Gloucester. Members of the Virginia-based Kendall Street Company are no strangers to having a wild time, said a press release. The genre-fluid, eclectic rock ensemble’s work has drawn comparisons to the jams of Umphrey’s McGee and Widespread Panic, the songwriting of John Prine, the experimental psychedelia of Pink Floyd, the jazz-infused rock of Frank Zappa, and the off-color humor of Ween and They Might Be Giants. Including elements of crowd participation, off-the-cuff comedic bits, haphazard choreography, musical improvisation, and surprise musical guests, Kendall Street concerts provide “an experience unlike any other,” said the release. “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry.
