Staying fed is a big part of a hummingbird’s life—each day a hummingbird consumes about half its body weight in bugs and nectar, feeding every 10-15 minutes and visiting 1,000 to 2,000 flowers and feeders throughout the day, according to the website WildBirdScoop.com.
