The steamer Mobjack brought up the first Sunday excursion of the year on Easter and a large number of Mathews folks took advantage of the opportunity to visit relatives and friends here.

Manager Hutcheson of the Tidewater Telephone Company is in the county this week putting a new switchboard in the Mathews office. This should greatly help the service.

The Board of Supervisors held its regular monthly meeting at the Courthouse house last Thursday and business of a routine nature occupied a large part of the session. A.A.
