Early voting now includes Saturday hours

As early in-person voting enters its second month in advance of the Nov. 8 general election, voters in Gloucester and Mathews now have the additional opportunity to cast their ballots both this Saturday, Oct. 29, and next Saturday, Nov. 5, at the two counties’ registrar’s offices. Early voting ends on Nov. 5.

Voters in Mathews can cast their ballots from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday at the office, which is located at 10604 Buckley Hall Road. The final day for early voting will be the following Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The voting window that the Mathews Registrar’s Office used in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been in use again this year.

In Gloucester, voters can visit the registrar’s office at 6467 Main Street, Building One, to cast their ballots. In addition to the office’s weekday hours, that polling place is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturdays.
