Because July 4 falls on a Thursday this year, the Gazette-Journal of that date will come out a day earlier than usual.

We are taking this step so our subscribers will experience less delay due to the postal holiday on Thursday.

Deadlines will be one day earlier, too. All church news, social announcements such as weddings and anniversaries, and classified ads are due at the newspaper by noon on Monday.

The final deadline for all material will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the paper will be printed and distributed Tuesday afternoon.
