Christmas falls on Wednesday, the usual printing and distribution day, but a general holiday for all government and postal offices, as well as private businesses.

The Gazette-Journal will have early deadlines next week in order to get to our readers in timely fashion. Classified ads, church news and social notices are due in our office by noon Monday and all other material by 4 p.m. Monday. We will prepare the paper for printing on Christmas Eve, and print and distribute your weekly Gazette-Journal very early Thursday.

We will follow the same schedule the next week for our Jan. 2 paper, as New Year’s Day also falls on Wednesday.
