Teresa Chandonnet of Dutton was the winner of the GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys’ $300 gas card giveaway.
A retired emergency room nurse, Chandonnet received her card from partners Ken Gibson and John Singleton. She said she takes care of her husband who’s disabled, and does a lot of driving since the couple moved to Gloucester from Hampton about a year ago.
GibsonSingleton included the contest as part of a mailer sent to every home in Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex. The mailer also contained a refrigerator magnet with frequently needed, non-emergency phone numbers, such as the sheriff’s office, fire and rescue, Virginia State Police, animal control, parks and recreation, the library, and traffic/bridge information.
“With gas prices still high, we wanted to help our neighbors get where they’re going this summer with a gas card giveaway,” Gibson said.
“We hope that the magnet will be a useful resource to people needing a number quickly,” Singleton added. “You hope you never need some of those numbers, but it’s nice to have them when you do.”
Anyone who didn’t receive a magnet with non-emergency numbers may call GibsonSingleton at 804-413-6777, or stop by the law firm to pick one up at 4073 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes. Printable cards are also on the website, gibsonsingleton.com. Contact GibsonSingleton’s community outreach director, Beth Gibson, at beth@gibsonsingleton.com or 804-413-6777, for more safety information.
