A new Dunkin will be opening around mid-December with an official grand opening in January. This location is in Gloucester Point, across the street from the Raceway convenience store.
“We are extremely excited about getting on in Gloucester,” said franchisee owner, Gregg Nigro of Restaurant Services of the Outer Banks. “We have been looking at this area for quite some time and finally were able to find a site that we could make work. It’s a great community (Gloucester) and (the location) should be very successful.”
Restaurant Services of the Outer Banks currently owns over 50 locations with locations from the greater Richmond area all the way down to areas in North Carolina.
Nigro said that he hopes to open more locations in the area. He said that he would like to open a location a little farther north in the county near Main Street and has another location opening soon in Kilmarnock. The franchise was formerly known as Dunkin Donuts.
“The greater Gloucester community is very strong in terms of population,” he said. “This particular location would be what we could refer to as a first cup opportunity. As the local residents travel south for work or for pleasure, they can get their breakfast, they can get a cup of coffee and enjoy it in their car. We think it’s well positioned to do very well.”
This location will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
