Dukes’ soccer

The Gloucester High School soccer program faced off against Warhill this week, with the varsity boys posting a 4-1 win on Tuesday night. The first two goals were scored by Corey Skay, followed by Marek Barnett and Ryan Williams. Assists were made by Carter Thompson, Mason Schmidt and K.J. Wolford. Today, Thursday, May 21, GHS will host Kings Fork at Dukes Stadium for the boys’ Senior Night home game. It will be the final game of the regular season, with playoffs beginning next week. JV will play at 5:30 p.m., followed by varsity at 7. Meanwhile, the Lady Dukes fell, 6-0, to Warhill at home on Monday. Above, GHS junior Madelyn Rowe races a Warhill player for the ball. Both JV teams matched, and tied, against Warhill. The girls tied, 1-1, and the boys tied, 2-2.
