The Gloucester High School varsity baseball team celebrated two wins and suffered one loss over the past week of gameplay. The Dukes beat the Lafayette Rams, 3-2, last Wednesday, April 15, at home. Tyler Boulay, Trevor Deyoung and Gage Spiggle contributed one run each for Gloucester. Camden Phelps led the way in hits for Gloucester with two, followed by Hayden Simmons, Adrian Messner, Spiggle and Deyoung with one each. Phelps also drove in two RBIs, followed by Messner who recorded one. On the mound, Phelps and Jacob Williams both pitched two innings each, while Brayden Scott and Deyoung pitched one inning apiece. Tabb Gloucester fell to Tabb by a close margin of 10-8 on the road Friday afternoon. De-young and Grayson Shield scored two runs each for the Dukes, followed by Jesse Jackson, Peyton Robbins, Boulay and Simmons with one apiece.
