Dukes JV baseball finishes season with 9-1 record

The Gloucester High School JV baseball team finished its season last week with a record of nine wins and one loss. The JV Dukes avenged their only loss of the season by beating Kecoughtan, 10-0, two weeks ago.

Standouts pitching this season for Gloucester were Dylan Deyoung and Chase Carson. Alex Milligan, Hunter Hardaway and Joey Foley led the way defensively in the field. Players that excelled at the plate this season were Braden Hudgins, Dillon Tisdale, Hank Hardaway, Brayden Enoch and Milligan. Trent Halterman, Carson Teagle, Trevor Richardson, Drew Hartz and Zach Lake rounded out the rest of the team and contributed to its success.

Deyoung, Milligan, Hudgins and Tisdale will continue their 2021 season as members of the varsity team.The JV Dukes were coached by Derek Kibler who was assisted by Richard Clark.
