Dukes beat Warwick, Denbigh

The Gloucester High School boys’ varsity volleyball team was successful on the road this past week, defeating both Warwick and Denbigh high schools.

Gloucester beat Warwick, 3-1, on Monday. After losing the first set, 25-22, the Dukes bounced back to win the next three by margins of 25-20, 25-19 and 25-16.

Jack Sandahl led the Dukes in kills with a total of 13, followed by Connor Brooks with 10, Jack Ronan with eight, Quinn Estlack with three and Gavin Cohn with two. Sandahl also led Gloucester in blocks with six, followed by Brooks with four and Ronan with three. The team had a successful serving night with Ronan, Brooks, Cohn, Kurt Carter and Estlack earning two aces each and Sandahl with one. Estlack also had 33 assists at Monday night’s game.

Gloucester defeated Denbigh in straight sets Tuesday night with set scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-18.
