The Gloucester High School varsity baseball team had a successful week, beating Heritage High School, 15-1, on Monday and beating Warwick, 7-3, on Tuesday.
For the Heritage game, Gloucester had a total of 11 hits and zero errors and Heritage had one hit and one error. Gabe Espiritu of Gloucester pitched four innings with only one hit and an impressive total of 10 strikeouts. Tripp Roady had two hits out of four bats and Hunter Sturgeon and Bailey Hudgins each had two hits off three bats.
On Tuesday, Gloucester had a total of 11 hits and three errors and Warwick had three hits and five errors. Hudgins pitched the winning game for Gloucester and he pitched five innings with no earned runs.
