Dug In Farms

To celebrate Earth Day, Dug In Farms, White Stone, hosted several environmentally oriented organizations, provided honey tastings, and offered a plant sale in their newly expanded nursery on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To promote the environment and help the community practice sustainable gardening and landscaping, Virginia Tech Extension Service, Northern Neck Master Gardeners, Northern Neck Master Naturalists, and Northern Neck Native Plant Society had representatives at Dug In Farms to answer questions, and hand out informational literature. Bartlett Tree Experts gave away 200 Redbud trees during the three-day event. Here, Dug In Farms owner Carolyn Quinn distributes free trees from Bartlett Tree Experts. Tastings continue with Rainbow Trout Granola scheduled for Friday and Saturday. On May 6 and 7, to celebrate the Kentucky Derby and Mother’s Day weekend, Mother Shrub will offer samples of its drinkable vinegars.
