In conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Riverside Health, local law enforcement will be stationed outside of the Gloucester Walmart Pharmacy and Kroger at Hayes Shopping Center on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to receive expired or unneeded over-the-counter and prescription drugs for disposal. National Prescription Take Back Day provides the public with the opportunity to easily and safely dispose of unwanted medications.
Tablets, capsules, patches and other forms of prescription drugs will be collected. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container. Syringes, sharps and illicit drugs will not be accepted during this drive-thru event.
