Drive-in services

Churches have adapted in many ways to the three-month interruption in their services. While some are now holding services in their sanctuaries again, taking precautions for masking and social distancing to discourage the spread ofCOVID-19, others have found success in new methods of reaching out. Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church reports increasing attendance at its weekly drive-in services at the Gwynn’s Island Civic Center, across from the church. On June 14, social distancing from their vehicles, 131 people attended the service under the trees.
