Carlton L. Drew, 62, has announced his reelection campaign for the York District seat on the Gloucester County School Board in the upcoming November election. He is running unopposed.
Serving on the school board since January 2022, Drew said he has been privileged to witness “an incredible turnaround for Gloucester County schools.”
He said that he believes that his biggest accomplishment so far has been being part of the board that hired the district’s current superintendent, Dr. Anthony Vladu.
“The data indicates our schools are now at the highest level of student achievement ever and only going to go higher,” said Drew. “This is all because of having the right people in the right place.”
He credited these academic gains to the superintendent, support staff, security, food service, janitorial staff, parents and to the students themselves.
“All these folks’ hard work has taken Gloucester County Public Schools to a historical level,” said Drew.
