The Virginia Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that replacement of the northbound Route 17 bridge over Dragon Run, at the Gloucester-Middlesex county line, will begin in March, not January as previously announced.

In addition, cost estimates have been updated to $14.6 million, down several million from cost estimates earlier in the project’s development, VDOT said.
