Dr. Anne L. Leddy of Mathews County and Newport News, and previously of Baltimore, Maryland, will be awarded the Master of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology on May 17 at the annual meeting of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology in Orlando, Florida.
The distinction is presented to a member who is recognized as a distinguished endocrinologist as well as a role model for young endocrinologists, and a contributor to the art and science of endocrinology, a release stated.
Leddy is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. She completed her postgraduate training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Johns Hopkins Hospital under the guidance of Dr. John Eager Howard, a pioneer in calcium metabolism research and renowned diagnostician. She remained a member of the medical faculty at Johns Hopkins for her early career.
