Carolyn South has opened Dove Counseling Services on Gloucester Main Street. Located in the Morgan Building, South officially opened her doors on June 10 and is now offering her services to new clients.

South is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor. She has more than 40 years of counseling experience and offers one-on-one counseling with adolescents three years and up, and with families and married couples.

When counseling young children, South asks that the parents are involved with the counseling. They don’t need to be at every session, but parents are the most involved person in a child’s life. She said she’s had a lot of success when working with developmentally delayed kids. Her work has helped young students catch up to their peers.
