DOUGLAS LINDSAY

Douglas Lindsay died on Dec. 24, 2018 at his home in Wicomico.

He was born on June 22, 1949 in Stamford, Connecticut, and raised in Dix Hills, New York. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the war in Vietnam. He went on to graduate from the State University of New York at Brockport and work for New York’s Department of Taxation and Finance.

Later in life, Doug earned a real estate license and was a vendor at the Stagecoach Markets & Antiques Village in Gloucester, where he specialized in selling books and electronics. He lived most of his life on the water and loved boating and fishing. 

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Lindsay; his brother, Richard Lindsay; his brother-in-law, Francis Roberts; and his niece, Andrea (Roberts) Gustafson.

He is survived by his sister, Joan L. Roberts of Virginia Beach, and two nephews, Jim Roberts of Norfolk, and Scott Lindsay of East Setauket, New York.
