Douglas Edwin Thacker of Hayes, died at his home on Nov. 19, 2018.

Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Norman Thacker, and his brother, Ronald Thacker.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tracie Thacker; daughters, DeAnna Kosler and her husband Chris, Melissa Viens and her husband Eddie; eight grandchildren, Breanna, Alyssa, Austin, Addison, Allan, EmiLeigh, Adreyonna, and Aireyonna; mother, Dorothy “Dee” Thacker; sister, Wanda O’Boyle; brothers, Timothy Thacker, James Thacker and his wife Sherry; also many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Faith Community Church located at 657 Harpersville Road, Newport News on Dec. 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. The family will be receiving family and friends directly after the ceremony at 114 York Point Drive, Seaford, Va. 23696.
