Dorothy “Dot” Mae Rhodes Rogers, 95, of Hayes, passed away June 7, 2018, at home with family by her side.
Dot was born April 22, 1923 in Spencer, Iowa to William Harrison Rhodes and Ethel May Legere Rhodes. She was a war bride and married Delmer M. Dot was a bookkeeper by trade and shared her skills wherever she went, and lived by one of her favorite verses, Matthew 28:19, “Having gone, then, disciple all the nations.” In later years, Dot enjoyed her church family at Union Baptist Church, teaching many Bible studies in the home and volunteering in the Gloucester Literacy Program. She was a kind, happy, loving woman who never met a stranger. We will miss her sweet spirit and joyful smile.
