Dorothy D. Grenfell, 81, died April 12, 2013 in Port Charlotte, Fla.

She was born Aug. 7, 1931 in Axton, Va., to the late J. Early and Mary West Davis. Mrs. Grenfell was retired from the federal government. She loved to fish, grow orchids, garden and watch her birds. Mrs. Grenfell was a loving and generous person.

She was preceded in death by brothers, John West Davis and Robert Winfrey Davis, and husband, Milton Richard Grenfell.

She is survived by son, George Coyle (Tanya) of Mathias, W.Va.; daughters, Mary Coyle (Andy Fox) of Santa Cruz, Cal., and Dorothy Pappas (John) of Strasburg, Va.; grandchildren, Jesse Barlass, Matthew Barlass, Amber Church and Sardana Coyle; great-granddaughter, Jayden Barlass; sister, Mary Marnix; brothers, Jim Davis and Raymond Davis.
