DORIS KIRKPATRICK SMITH

Doris Kirkpatrick Smith, 85, of Gloucester, passed away at her home Nov. 23, 2015.

Doris was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from the jewelry department at Walmart as a manager after 21 years.

Throughout her life, she loved to sew, shop and work in the yard. Doris loved her family and her favorite thing to do was spending time with them and spoiling them. Our lives will be empty without her, but her memories will be forever with us. In our hearts we will forever be grateful to God for blessing us with the best.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Drew Smith; parents, James and Pearl Kirkpatrick, and brother, Vincent Oscar Kirkpatrick.

She is survived by her daughter, Drew Leigh and husband T.K.; son, Larry Staton and wife Barbara; grandson, Brandon Leigh and wife Heather, and great-granddaughter, Addison Leigh.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Tom Cohick was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for all the loving care given to Doris and her family.
