Doris Etheleen Banfiel of Yorktown, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born on November 26, 1927 to the late Paul and Lucy Rowe. She was employed by the J.C. Penney Company until she retired and was a devoted member of Achilles Friends Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Falin (Mark) and Ruth Farries; daughter-in-law, Cindy Banfiel Burrell; grandchildren, Kimberly Kubisiak, Cliff Bridgman, Jeremy Farries, Ryan Farries, Kelly Williams, Kevin Banfiel, Roland Banfiel, Michelle Falin, Emily Hudgins, Eric Wagner, Tim Lovell, Louis Lovell, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill”; sons, William Paul, James Michael, and John Martin; daughter-in-law, Mary Banfiel; grandson, Robert Banfiel, and great-grandson, Kamren Miles Kubisiak. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Evelyn Hudgins, and brothers, William Paul Rowe and Warren Rowe. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed working at J.C. Penney, where she made lifelong friends. She loved her annual beach vacations, cruising, and visits to family in Cleveland, Ohio. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. A graveside service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. John Downs.
