Doris Elizabeth Carter, 77, of Mathews, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Deacon Herbert M. Carter; two sons, Wayne A. Carter and Michael T. Carter (Lizzette); two grandchildren, Brienna Carter and Lequisha Coleman; three sisters, Helen Smith, Barbara Jones and Stella Breckenridge, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cobbs Creek. Burial will be in church cemetery.

Viewing will be held at 5-6 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011, with the family receiving friends from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
