Doris Christine Williams, 97, of Bena, peacefully left her earthly home and entered her Heavenly home Feb. 5, 2018.

Doris was born and lived her whole life in Gloucester, and was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Doris was a strong independent woman who never complained and lived each day to the fullest. She was genuinely compassionate and the kindest person you could ever meet. In her home she made you feel comfortable and loved.

Doris will be missed on earth, but we know she is rejoicing in heaven with her loved ones, her beloved husband, Harry W. Williams, and son whom she loved so much, Robert Williams. Doris leaves to cherish her memory several cousins, and very special friends and caregivers, Betty and Murray Brown and Sherry and Bennie Williams and their families.

A graveside funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
