DONNA DEAN CRIGLER

Donna Dean Crigler passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Winchester Medical Center.

She is survived by three sons, Donald F. and spouse Gail Crigler of Stephens City, Va., Dennis L. and spouse Kristy Crigler of Springfield, Va., and David L. and spouse Beth Crigler of Moon, Va. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was originally from Ashland, Ky., and married to William R. Crigler. Always a free spirit she lived in Springfield Va., Santa Cruz, Cal., Greenup, Ky., Ashland, Ky., and Gloucester, Va. In Gloucester, she lived at Daffodil Gardens senior residences from 2001-2012, where she started a community garden that is still tended by the current residents. The garden was dedicated in her honor in 2013.

She owned and operated the Art Patch Shop in Springfield, Va., and started the Whistle Stop Pottery in Greenup, Ky. 

A short memorial service in her memory will be held at Daffodil Gardens on Saturday, May 31 at 2 p.m. in the garden.
