A memorial service for Donald Edward Lanouette Sr., 74, of Gloucester, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester. He died Feb. 24, 2016 in Newport News.

He was born in Fall River, Mass., and was the son of the late Edward L. and Melina C. Lanouette. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years after serving two tours in Vietnam and retired as a Master Sergeant. Following his retirement, he worked for the U.S. Post Office as a mail carrier working in different Post Offices in Hampton and Poquoson.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Lanouette; his sons, Donald E. Lanouette Jr., David R. Lanouette and Daryl L. Lanouette; a sister, Pauline Rose Lamontangne, and brother, Leo Lanouette.
