Donald Potter of Gloucester, known to some as “Dave,” passed away on March 9, 2020, at the age of 80 years old.

Dave was a retired Major in the U.S. Army and a Vietnam veteran. He was an active member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge. His favorite hobby was remote-controlled aircraft, both flying and construction, and taught many children and adults how to enjoy this fun activity. He rode a motorcycle for most of his life and enjoyed spending time with others that did so as well.

He is survived by his wife Hella of 61 years of marriage; daughter, Nancy Johnston (Timothy); granddaughter, Heather Henderson (Brian); two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Bryson.

Private memorial services were held. Donations in memory of Dave can be made to your local veterans support organization.

We love you, Pops, and you will be dearly missed!
