Don K. (Donnie) Haynes, 66, of North, passed away on July 28, 2017.

Donnie was born on Aug. 14, 1950 in Gloucester, and was the son of Doris and Bill Haynes.

Growing up, he learned the trade of carpentry and began to learn the trade of auto mechanics as he reached his adulthood. These trades, along with many other talents, were the cornerstone of his diverse mechanical and handyman capabilities.

In time, Donnie settled into running his machine shop, which allowed him to enjoy his passion for building motors and enjoying his racing hobbies. Donnie’s other favorite pastimes were skeet shooting and maintaining his gun collection. He was meticulous and highly detailed in everything he pursued in life.

Donnie was a devoted husband to his wife, Angie, of 43 years. He is also survived by his sister, Frances West, as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 31 at 10 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. Burial followed at Windsor Garden Cemetery, Dutton.
