Dolly Ambrose Harwood, 94, of Hayes, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Riverside Convalescent Center Mathews.

She was the daughter of the late Russell and Mary Maury Ambrose and the widow of George Harwood.

Dolly was devoted to her husband and son, loved all children and was kind and gentle to everyone. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, George Harwood and wife Ruby; granddaughter, Diane Pillsbury and husband Billy; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Hoffman.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service from 12-12:45 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
