Amos Moses, a Chihuahua and beagle mix, is a long-haul trucker with Jimmy and Susan Hodges of Gloucester.
“He’s been on the truck since he was eight weeks old,” said Jimmy.
Right after picking him up from a surprise litter of puppies cared for by Tracy and Robbie Whitehurst of Dutton, Jimmy and Susan were set to go on a long-haul trip.
“He was potty-trained right in the truck,” said Susan.
“She did great working with him,” said Jimmy.
The couple had been looking for a new pup to take on the road with them after their Great Pyrenees, Tug, had to retire from the job after the arthritis developed in his hips.
“He took right to it,” said Jimmy about Amos.
Now, at three-and-a-half years, Amos rules the road and enjoys his long-haul lifestyle.
