Andrew Sadler of Cobbs Creek is working towards ownership at Dixie Knoll Farms which is located at 38 Green Point Lane in Dutton.

Dixie Knoll Farms offers delivery to businesses and pick-up of Farm Fresh Eggs. His experience has been through working with his grandparents and father.

“As third generation of working in family business, the biggest obstacle has been finding new markets for our eggs,” said Sadler. “Customers seldom come to individual farms for one product. I have secured markets for our eggs through connections with restaurant owners and existing farmers’ markets.”

Sadler has expanded markets from Mathews, Middlesex and Gloucester to Hampton, Richmond and even the Eastern Shore.

Hayes, Edward and William Sadler established the family egg business in 1925. Phillip Sadler, father of Andrew Sadler, continued with the business.

Sadler has an associate’s degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales.
