Division records broken at Down & Dirty

A hot and humid afternoon led to some great mud bogging on Saturday at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway. The eighth annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem saw four division records broken during the day’s competition.

The great crowd was treated to some incredible runs in both the mud bog and mud sling pits. The day of setting new records also spilled over to the competitors, as several division records were broken.

Heading into the competition, E&E Caulking sponsored the Tadpole’s Break the Record Challenge which paid out an additional $100 bonus to break a record. In the Aaron’s Pro Mod B division, Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time set a new record with a run of 4.211 seconds that ended in a spectacular crash at the end. Crowder would emerge unhurt.

In the Down and Dirty Unlimited Bog division, Tanya Ricks, The Pit’s “Fastest Woman,” proved again she is fast with a record-setting 3.802 second run. The James River Equipment X Cut and Victory Lap ...
