Three Mathews High School students—Bradyn Barr, Grayson Camp and Luke Lewis, from left—recently made District 8 Band. Barr won 2nd Chair Tuba Symphonic and is All-State eligible. Camp took 1st Chair Trumpet Concert Band, while Lewis was 11th Chair Concert Band. “Roughly 1,000 students auditioned for these prestigious ensembles and I couldn’t be prouder of their hard work,” said MHS Director of Bands and Choir Tim Fary Jr.
