The Mathews Economic Development Authority is hosting a series of roundtable discussions this month to help determine the makeup of the soon-to-be-established Mathews County Tourism Advisory Committee. Six roundtables are tentatively scheduled over two successive weeks, Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 18-20 and 25-27. A location has yet to be established. Representatives from a wide range of tourism-related businesses and organizations are encouraged to sign up to participate in the roundtable discussions, including places of lodging and short-term rentals; restaurants, retail food service businesses, and merchants; event, festival, service, and civic organizations; maritime and outdoor recreation organizations; organizations dedicated to arts, history, and culture; and members from the community at large.
