Discussion on future of Page continues tonight

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors and the Gloucester County School Board will continue a discussion tonight about the future of Page Middle School, which was badly damaged in an April tornado. The meeting will begin at 7 o’clock in the Gloucester High School auditorium.

The boards met previously in September to discuss the matter, but supervisors requested more specific information on cost differences between restoring Page on its current site versus the school board’s recommendation to build a new school on county-owned property off T.C. Walker Road.

During the meeting in September, supervisors questioned the school board’s proposal, which was agreed upon by the school board on Aug. 25, and includes building a grade 6-9 middle school on the school system’s T.C. Walker Road site.
