The Thomas Hunter Middle School band program didn’t get to have its typical spring awards program, but late last month band director Michael Loveless was able to present his Director’s Award to Madeline Miller. Miller has been part of the band program for the last three years. A trumpet player, she made Area Band in 2019 and 2020. She also placed in the District 8 Band in 2020. “She has grown a tremendous amount over the last three years in band and is a true representative of what it means to be a Seahawk,” Loveless said.
