Dinner and a Show

The Mathews High School Music Department hosted its second annual Dinner and a Show on Nov. 15 in the MHS cafeteria. Over 200 plates of spaghetti were prepared and served as attendees enjoyed music from MHS students. Christy Lindberg and the MHS cafeteria staff, as well as parent and community volunteers all chipped in to prepare the food for the event. The event included performances by the Jazz Band, the String Orchestra, and the Drum Line. Funds raised will be used for the operations budget for the MHS Music Department, as well as helping to sponsor students on their spring trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., in May. Raffle and silent auction items for the event were provided by 5 Star Oriental Medicine, Belmont Pumpkin Farms, CA&J Farm, KayJae, Inc., members of the Mathews Music Boosters, Morningstar Marinas, and Norwex Consultant Katie Givens.
