The Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation will hold a Dine to Donate event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson’s Café, Main Street, Mathews.

Richardson’s has agreed to donate a portion of the day’s receipts to help purchase back-to-school classroom supplies for all Mathews County Public Schools, according to a press release from foundation member Sue Mathiesen.

Also contributing funds to support the purchase of supplies are Chesapeake Bank, Ken Houtz Chevrolet, and Peninsula Heating and Air.

“Give your kitchen the day off, knowing that 100 percent of the funds we receive will go directly to our schools,” said Mathiesen. “Bring a friend; we look forward to seeing you.”
