The Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation is holding its next Dine to Donate from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. next Thursday, Sept. 10, at The Seafood Shack, 10744 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. Proceeds from the event will go to the music programs at Mathews Elementary and Mathews High School, providing much-needed instrument replacement and repairs, said a press release. Musical guests Mike Reed and Edward Wade will perform from 6-8 p.m., and there will be a few instruments on display at the event to highlight some of the current needs. Amy Fuccella, co-owner of The Seafood Shack with her husband Kevin, remembers her times at MHS playing alto saxophone in the marching band, said the release. Her daughters, Madeline (now a student at William & Mary) and Annabelle, have carried on the family tradition, playing trumpet and baritone saxophone on the same field as their mom.
