Dimeslots to pay tribute to Reid Harrison Saturday

Rock ‘n’ roll band The Dimeslots will pay tribute to former bass player and Flat Iron Crossroads volunteer Reid Harrison at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at 7709 Flat Iron Road, Gloucester.

Harrison, who passed away in January, was instrumental in the early stages of Flat Iron Crossroads, assisting with sound and production, booking talented artists, and developing the latest version of the venue’s website, said a press release.

A writer and television producer, Harrison was known for The Simpsons (1989), George & Leo (1997), and Disenchantment (2018), said the release. He joined The Dimeslots in 1979, when the band was born in a freshman dorm at the College of William and Mary.

Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. and have dinner from the Shore Bites food truck.

There is no cost for this tribute event, but donations will be accepted. Reservations must be made in advance at flatironcrossroads.com.
