DIANNE HOGGE HORSLEY

On Friday, March 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, Dianne Hogge Horsley, aka “Nana,” passed quietly into the loving arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. Dianne was born on October 3, 1942 to the late A. Henneth and Odell German Hogge. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School and a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church, and served as the Children’s Sunday School Director for many years. Dianne loved singing in the church choir, the Lions Club musicals, reading, going to the beach, and watching her favorite team, the Baltimore Orioles, but her greatest passion was her family. She never missed a game or a milestone, and now we know she is watching from the best seat in the house. Holidays were the best at Nana’s, and we will all miss her famous “Nana rolls” and her six-layer chocolate cake. Dianne is survived by her children, Natalie Barefoot (Steve), Christy Williams (Jimmy), Craig Horsley (Lora); her grandchildren, Sam Horsley (Abby), Haley Moretti (Bryce), Taylor Tate (Hunter), Jack Horsley, Brady Barefoot (Taylor), Justin Williams (Morgan) and Luke Horsley; great-grandchildren, Maverick and Cali Moretti, Palmer Tate and Landry Williams. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandra Harvey (Alan) and Laura Adriaan (Aldo), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Providence Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Philip Drake, with a reception to follow. Inurnment will be private. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to organizations that reflect her spirit of giving and her love for the community, to the Abingdon Ruritan Club Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 22, Bena, Va. 23018, or Providence Baptist Church, Attn: Children’s Ministry, 3501 Providence Road, Hayes, Va. 23072.
