The West Mathews Community League installed Al DeWitt as its president for 2024, continuing many years of service in the position. Other officers are Maurine Frank, vice president, Dave Machen, treasurer, and Robin Morgan, secretary.

Officers were installed at the Nov. 15 meeting of the league, held at the civic center in Bohannon.

The league has received a tree donated by Mobjack Nurseries in memory of longtime member Audrey Mason, who died this year. She was a charter member of the group which was organized in 1987.

The next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17.
