Virginia State Police Trooper Chad P. Dermyer of Gloucester, who lost his life in the line of duty on March 31, will be among those being honored today during the 2016 Virginia State Police Law Enforcement Memorial Service.

The service, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Virginia State Police Gymnasium at 7700 Midlothian Turnpike in North Chesterfield, will also pay tribute to Trooper Nathan-Michael W. Smith, who died in the line of duty last September in Prince George County. Lamont Bagby of the Virginia House of Delegates will provide the ceremony’s keynote address. ...
