DEQ hydrologists speak to Friends of Dragon Run

The Friends of Dragon Run was scheduled to hold a public meeting virtually on the Zoom (virtual) meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24.

This virtual meeting is open to all and features two hydrologists from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, who will discuss water quality and quantity issues in various watersheds, including the Dragon Run.They will talk about data monitored and collected from the series of stream gauges that helps the state oversees its water resources, especially in times of floods and droughts. The FODR uses the gauge data every day they lead kayak trips on the Dragon to know what they face with water conditions.

A link to the meeting can be found on the FODR webpage, www.dragonrun.org.
