Dennis Allen Horsley, 64, of Hayes, died Oct. 27, 2018 at Mary Immaculate Hospital. 

Dennis was born Oct. 10, 1954 to John A. and Mary Ann Garnett Horsley. He was retired from the College of William and Mary as a Master Carpenter. After retiring from William and Mary, Dennis pursued his passion of carpentry, with his own business, Horsley Home Improvements and Repairs. In every job he had an eye for detail and perfection. Dennis never met a stranger and enjoyed the company of his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Susie Pyles, and niece, Sarah Hudgins.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Pyles Horsley; daughter, Ashley Horsley Cloud (Paden); granddaughter, Haley Cloud; sisters, Anita Jenkins (Michael Reardon), Darlene Rilee, Sharon Holmes (Michael) and Lori Horsley; brother, Kenneth Michael Horsley (Betty); special brother-in-law, Carlton Harper (Celeste); special nephew, Dustin Horsley, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be at 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Gloucester Point Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, from 6-7 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
