The Mathews County Democratic Committee will hold a food drive for donations to Hands Across Mathews from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mathews Farmers’ Market. Look for the committee’s booth on Church Street.

People are encouraged to stop by to donate canned food, dry goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, and meat or chicken. Also needed are personal hygiene products and disposable diapers.

Everything donated will be transported to Hands Across Mathews immediately at the close of the drive. For more information, contact committee chair Sheila Crowley at 540-907-2993.
